IPL™ PhotoFacial uses precise amounts of visible light (IPL is ‘intense pulsed light’) to effectively treat facial redness and improve sun-damaged skin. The light energy is absorbed by the damaged tissue resulting in a stimulation of the production of collagen. Through this stimulation of collagen the appearance of aging skin is softened, fine lines and wrinkles are improved, dark pigmentation and age spots fade, there is a reduction in pore size.
IPL PhotoFacial can also be used to treat rosacea. The redness and flushing of rosacea can be reduced 80 to 90 percent.
IPL PhotoFacial can treat the face, neck or chest. Depending on the area treated, for optimal results most patients receive four treatments. Following your first treatment, your skin will feel smoother and softer, with a more even skin tone. Improvements are gradual and become more visible after each treatment.
